It was a perfect autumn day for the final of the youth East Midlands Centre Championship at Tallington. It was a short but very sweet days racing. Once again these talented youngsters provided some nail biting entertainment. It was a comfortable win for Joshua Rockley in the Auto Cadet class with Jan Spurra picking up second. The promising Daniel Van Der Hoeven was forced to retire from the first race with engine problems. Sam Woolley made an impressive debut in the Cadet class picking up 1st place after Ellis Perks suffered a bad fall in race 1, also putting him out of race 2. He overcame this to pick up 3rd place overall. Jacob Taylor picked up 2nd in this class although both him and Sam Woolley must have hit the beer tent before the start of race 2 judging by their amusing antics on the line! It was good to see Danny Boyle back in top form taking an impressive win in the junior class. He was also awarded, rider of the day winning over the judges with his impressive style. The much improved Tobias Hosker picked up 2nd with Jake Skinner in 3rd. Ashley Hill was forced to retire in race 3 with engine problems. It was fantastic to see full grids in both moto x classes who provided some of the most entertaining racing of the day. There was cracking action in the MX 65 class with a comfortable win for Max Flinders. Kurtis Scarboro and Joshua Rockley battled for 2nd and 3rd with Rockley winning out. The MX 85s put on some spectacular racing with a win for Oliver Greenwood. Tom Woolley dropped it in race 3 but quickly remounted to finish 5th overall. Max Flinders picked up 2nd, with Tobias Hosker in 3rd. Jamie Fenn Smith took the win in the intermediates followed by Darren Drew in 2nd and Amy Taylor in 3rd. Senior B was won by Ben Fenn Smith. Congratulations to all the talented youngsters who took part in this exciting event.
